How it works
Bubble-sheet MCQ marking with a phone camera and this page. No scanner, no account, no app.
Your students' work stays with you. Photos are read inside your browser by measuring how dark each bubble is.
Nothing is uploaded and there is no AI. Class lists and saved scans are kept only in this browser on this device.
1Make strips
- Set the number of MCQs (up to 40) and a short code so you can tell worksheets apart.
- For a teaching group, tick it and type the classes: the strip gets a Class row.
- Upload your own paper as a PDF to get it back with the strip on page 1, or download the Word template, or print answer slips to hand out with any paper.
2Students shade
- 2B or HB pencil, each bubble filled fully. Pen works but reads lighter.
- Index number in two digits: index 7 is Tens 0, Ones 7.
- Rub out changes cleanly. Two shaded answers are flagged, not guessed.
3Snap
- Stack the sheets so each top edge sits on the stacking line of the sheet below.
- Photograph up to 10 strips at a time, flat, in good light, with all four black corner squares of every strip in view.
- A slight tilt is fine. Curled paper is fine too; flatter reads better.
4Mark and check
- Under Mark, type the answer key (or load the .csv template with topics), add the class list, then the photos.
- Anything unclear is shown in orange: click it to set the answer. Nothing doubtful is marked silently.
- Print result slips (3 to a page, in cut-and-stack order), the class item analysis, and the ranking, or download the results .csv.
The numbers in the item analysis
Facility (P) is the share of the class who got the question right. Discrimination (DI) compares the top and bottom groups by total score: a question the strong students get right and the weak ones miss has a high DI. A DI near zero or below is worth a second look at the question or its key.
